Stepp Cemetery EVP from 12-01-2007
You can here me say "Make a noise. Make a tree branch crack. Then you will hear what sounds to me like
"GET OUT OF HERE"!
The Story behind Stepp Cemetery is:
Bloomington
Stepp Cemetery
Of all the hauntings in Indiana, Stepp Cemetery is surely one of the most intriguing,
not to mention one of the most famous. Located in The Morgan-Monroe State Forest.
this cemetery is very isolated, making a visit there quite spooky, even in daylight.
The old cemetery is gated, and one has to get out of the car and walk to get
to the few graves left, which are crumbling from age and neglect.
Stories about who or what is haunting this cemetery vary, but virtually all consist of a woman in black grieving over a loved one buried in the cemetery. There is an old tree stump that looks somewhat like a chair where the woman is most often seen, but reports also describe the sounds of a woman crying in the vicinity. Several reports portray a black figure rising out of the tree stump and turning towards witnesses, scaring them out of the graveyard. Many visitors report "bad feelings" when approaching the graveyard, and sudden gusts of wind, temperature changes, and odd sounds occur fairly frequently. Those with cameras often capture orbs and streaks, but nobody has managed to catch the specter of the lady in black yet to our knowledge.
